Jumprings

Our chainmaille jumprings are coiled on a mandrel of the size you order, saw-cut and tumble polished.  Different gauges and mandrel sizes yield different amounts of springback.  Springback causes all jumprings to be slightly larger than the size ordered.  Springback is proportional to the ring inside diameter (ID) and can be as much as 1.0mm with larger ring IDs.  It also varies with the different metals - for instance, sterling has more springback than copper or Argentium... so the rings fit together a little more loosely.  That's not usually an issue unless you are weaving a pattern that is very AR sensitive - i.e. Jens Pind.

Unless noted, all wire used for our rings is AWG.
