Niobium is a 'reactive' metal - when anodized, it develops an oxide layer which flashes back beautiful colors determined by the voltage used. More information on niobium can be found in our 'Maille-O-pedia'. It can be fragile (easily marred) but with the proper tools and care, can add a whole new dimension to your chainmaille. We also have a color sampler card for sale. This card contains the rings which we use to colormatch each batch of rings.
Initially, we will offer niobium as accents in some of our most popular kits, as colorful 'mixes' and packets of rings. Over time, as we build stock and experience working with this temperamental metal, we will sell niobium by the ozt, depending on customer response.
